German comedian not for laughs

Atze Schröde is the name of a german comedian figure. He primarly act in second class private tv, sells some cd’s and fills concert halls with about 2000-3000 supporters. Not a really big one as you may see.

Throughout the last weeks his name got a bit bigger within the german blogosphere as he tried to sue “Wikimedia Deutschland e.V.”, which supports Wikipedia DE and free knowledge. Hi sued them for listing his real name (Hubertus Albers) within the entry of his stage name “Atze Schröder”.

The president of Wikimedia e.V. blogged about that senseless lowsuit (in german) and some people posted an image which “BILD” (a german newspaper) printed of Hubertus Albers a few years ago (showing him private wihtout the peruke he normally wears on stage.

Funny result of the game: Now everyone knows his real name, even how he looks in private and some also posted a way to find out his private telephone number.

Nice try, Hubertus Albers.

Better remove those wordpress.de links

Rober Scoble wrote about how to respond to criticism today. I don’t know how wordpress.com company Automattic and their new employee Olaf A. Schmitz (swiss guy) - former wordpress.de founder and owner - will reply to the cricism blowing in their faces these days through the german blogosphere.

The short story: wordpress.de was _the_ (one and only) german WP website ever, owned by Olaf A. Schmitz - a single person. It had a forum, hosted the download of the german language version of WP and had lot’s of other tools. (Ping-Service, Blogmap and stuff).

Through the last months domains changed. Lot’s of services have beed redirected to wordpress-germany.org (what a domain nam whooo!) but no one talked about it. During the last days suddenly the ownership for wordpress.de changed from Olaf to Automattic Inc - the company of WP founder Matt Mullenweg - owner of wordpress.com hosting service. From one day to the other the domain was redirected to wordpress.com taking all the thousands of Links to wordpress.de with them (wordpress.de has a Google Pagerank 7/10).

That’s how automattic and Olaf made the german blogosphere angry these days. Not the fact they’re going to offer free bloghosting on the domain but the fact they took a community built linkability (through years thinking the project is open source) to a commercial company and not talking about it.g

guys: Talk about it - communicate open and honestly.

German TV Trash

Is american television the same shit than german? i realized that you nearly cannot watch tv in germany. there’s not really any station with reliable quality content.

Netzblogger’s talking about some ideas he had for quality tv but i guess there won’t be anyone inteligent enough to be able to launch such a faithful program.

I wish i could have some blog readers. They could then tell me how television is in other countries maybe later…

…whohoooo something really new for me. Blogging in english. Don’t be too hard with me as i’m not a native english speaker. It’s even worse - i’m german.

But for several reasons i’m gonna try it now - just trying to blog english. I hope it works.
